By design, the Six-Second Project logo is dichotomous. In Greek mythology, both harvest and hunger are symbolized by the goddess, Demeter, who is often depicted with wheat stalks in her hand. The child’s hand reaching for - but not quite touching - the wheat stalk represents both the despair of hunger and our hope and aspiration for its abolishment. The orange color represents a fruitful harvest, while the brown represents dust, drought, and famine.

The Six-Second Project thanks Rye Dog Development for its generous donation of time
and talent in designing our logo and website.
